How To Make Lembas or Elven Bread For Larp (Vegan)

Watch Maxx Sterling use the recipe he stole from the Elves to make a delicious mostly organic and vegan Lembas or Elven Bread from The Lord of the Rings while he continuously mispronounces it. Also Maxx discuses his theory on where the concept of Lembas may have come from.

Maxx’s Lembas (LemNess) Recipe

Approximately 6 Servings

2-3 cups almond, cashew or corn meal (or any organic flour)
1/2 cup organic coconut oil
1-1 1/2 cups apple sauce
1/2 cup maple syrup
2-3 tablespoons chia seeds
1/2-1 cup water
1 teaspoon black salt

1 tablespoon peanut dust
1 tablespoon flax seed
1 tablespoon sunflower seeds
1 tablespoon hemp seeds
1 tablespoon golden flax
1/4 cup monkfruit or raw sugar (basically sweeten to taste)
And anything else you think fits the Middle-Earth setting, but me mindful of amounts

Additional Suggestions to Add:
Coffee/Coffee Beans
Any type of seed
Any type of nut
Any type of fruit
Brown sugar

Mix chia seeds with water, allow it to form into a gel consistency.
Mix in the apple sauce, oil and syrup.
Slowly add meal/flour and mix.
Put the dough on a lined sheet and allow to cool so you can roll it out easier.
Use meal/flour on your rolling pin, or put another piece of waxed paper on top before rolling.
Make dough 1/4-1/2 inch thick and cut into squares with a knife or cookie cutter and make a line or X across each one.
Bake at 325 degrees for about 30 minutes.
When finished, wrap it in a Mallorn leaf and Adventure On!
